Bucket List Travel Destinations

These are some of the places we have been that should be on everyone’s travel bucket list. I have been extremely fortunate to be able to travel internationally and some in the United States (we plan to do way more now that we are on the East coast and things are much closer than they were in California and Arizona). Since having a baby and then a pandemic happening, I have been itching to travel lately so I thought I would share some of my favorite travel destinations with you.

Cassis, France

This ended up being our final destination on our honeymoon and honestly, we could have spent the entire 2 weeks there. It is everything you can imagine of the French Riveria. Tiny, quaint, waterfront town bustling with people enjoying life. The main reason to travel there is for the Massif des Calanques (Calanques National Park). It is gorgeous hiking along the coastline to these large inlets of water with clear blue water. I highly recommend bringing snorkels so you can see all the tropical fish.

Sedona, Arizona

This is literally one of the prettiest places I have ever been. The red rocks pop up out of nowhere and are honestly breathtaking. Sedona should be on everyone’s list of must-sees. You can do everything here from hiking, rock climbing, off-roading, hanging out at the creek, camping, and staying in nice resorts or AirBnb’s with hot tubs that look out at these mountains. The town is super cute as well, with tons of tourist trinkets and delicious restaurants. It is also beautiful all year round. In the winter snow sits on all the ledges and red rocks peek through. It’s known for tranquility and once you visit you’ll know why.

Yosemite, California

Yosemite is one of those places where it’s beautiful in Summer and beautiful in Winter. I am definitely kicking myself for not visiting more when we lived so close. The hiking is spectacular but my favorite views are in the valley. In the snow, it is breathtaking and it is so quiet and peaceful. It is a must-see if you are in California.

Germany

Germany

Honestly, the whole entire country of Germany is breathtaking. It is incredibly green and the Black Forest has these huge lush forests. It’s literally where fairytales were written so it’s exactly as you could imagine. The food and people are amazing. There are tons to do in the summer and winter so it really doesn’t matter what time of year you go.

Salt Spring Island, British Columbia

I traveled here with my grandma and some of her friends in my early 20’s and I am determined to go back before I die. This beautiful mountainy island is full of artisans and farmers. There is everything from wineries and breweries to cheesemakers to potters and fresh produce stands. It’s basically my dream come true.

Thanks for reading and I’d love to hear about some of your favorite places to visit so I can put them on my list!
